House update for Oct. 2

I haven't taken pictures of the house progress in a while. yesterday, I took a few pictures. There has been a lot of work going on but it is hard to put it in pictures. Lots of work going on with electric, heating, plumbing, gas lines laid, tv cable lines installed, and the security system lines installed. we also started widening the driveway and getting the driveway next to the garage and to the first barn ready for concrete. the rest of the driveway will be recycled asphalt.

trenches in the back yard for drainage from the gutters from the house and for the electric line for the outdoor light

the area from the garage door marked for the retaining wall to be put in and steps to come down from the gargae

the radiant heat for the main floor is installed under the floor joists. hot water will circulate through the orange pipe and the aluminum plates or fins will help distribute the heat. the floors will be heated and the heat will rise from there into the room. insulation will be added under the joist to seal the heat in.

the boiler and the pipe configuration for the radiant heat. Cecil will really have to be an engineer here

we are having a cedar closet in the storage area, we are going to enjoy this

we widened the drive way from 10 feet to 20 feet. that sure makes it easier for the trucks to get in and for us to drive in and out.

They tested all of the bathtub & shower drains & all worked well!

The 2 Scotts that are working on my house.

I'll leave you with just a beautiful photo from our driveway.
